Factri.AI: Driving Efficiency in Factories through Innovation!
Cutting-edge technologies have left a conspicuous mark in India’s manufacturing industry, accelerating transformation, maximizing productivity, and improving the overall efficiency. With the zeal to contribute to this sea changes, tech-aficionado Srihari Murthy and Hitanjan Sarkar embarked on the journey of creating a platform to develop cost-effective, easy, scalable solutions that enables both small and large businesses boost concrete productivity while refining operational efficiency and fostering greater agility. The aim is to encourage the widespread adoption of advanced technologies to stimulate concrete impact on the sector and help the Indian manufacturers thrive in today’s global market.
Inspired by the Make in India and Digital India initiatives, the team of Factri.AI worked together to build ground-breaking and industry-fit solutions like DataWiz, which is a no-code/low-code industry 4.0 platform that helps manufacturers comprehend various kind of factory real-time data, connect and support decision-making with its cross-functional analytics and AI/ML based manufacturing intelligence. This one-of-a-kind mobile application is empowering factories for paperless by supporting numerous contactless data captures, including NFC, QR, Barcode, and Face ID.
Factri.AI is incubated startup at nasscom Center of Excellence – IoT & AI, Gandhinagar, which is a Joint initiative of the Ministry of Electronics & IT (MeitY), Govt. of Gujarat, and nasscom.
Being a notable innovation hub, CoE fosters synergy between innovators and industry frontrunners and enables a concerted approach to solving pertinent real-world challenges. In this scenario, CoE conducted a comprehensive survey and analysis of the problems faced by Oriental Engineering Works, which is a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) specializing in engineering and component manufacturing, situated in Haryana, and recommended a strategic collaboration with Factri.Ai- a CoE incubated startup that developed a platform called Elogbook solution to capture data from various operations on the shop floor at a centralized platform.
This solution helped Oriental Engineering Works solve challenges like keeping a track of the operational data and data management and optimizing the overall plant performance. Throughout the implementation process, CoE ensured seamless execution by consistently provided mentoring support. This collaboration triggered a digital shift in OEW’s manoeuvres, projected 20% saving in man hours at Maintenance department, which have been consumed in managing the data.
“We are currently providing services to 20+ factories across India and are working closely with the support of nasscom Gandhinagar team for promoting adoption of digitization across Indian manufacturing sector. We have experienced 3X YoY growth, and our product is being used by 4+ industries in 6 different regions across India,” commented Srihari Murthy, Co-founder & CEO.
Founded in 2020, having raised investment from Dubai based entrepreneur and investor Mr Sudhakar Murthy (CEO, ACORE Group). Among the many favourable outcome and achievements, Factri.AI was featured at the nasscom Technology & Leadership Forum 2023 for digitising India’s Manufacturing Sector and has also made it to the ‘Top Start-up’ at CII’s Annual Start-up Summit in the category of ‘Digitisation’ organised by Confederation of Indian Industry. The team has established research collaboration with National Institute of Technology, Nagpur for R&D activities focused on future factory technologies.
In the immediate future, Factri.AI is focussing on spurring the adoption of entry level IIoT Platform and upgrading the AI/ML engine to ensure a strategic advantage through the value-added insights and recommendations based on the real-time data and metrics.
“Nasscom CoE has been a great source of support, encouragement, and mentorship for us throughout our journey. Through this association we have been able to interact with potential clients, industry leaders and start-up mentors from across the ecosystem, all of which has helped us to continually refine and evolve our product offering and maintain a strong focus on customer value realisation,” Hitanjan Sarkar, Co-Founder & CTO.
